My family and I made our first fruit beverage drinks in 2019, and Safeway has been an amazing partner from the beginning! Their Local Program has been a huge success for us and has really helped further our brand recognition tremendously. The Safeway team is always available to provide guidance and support and has truly helped us make our beverages a success! We are grateful for their mentorship and their willingness to go above and beyond to help local companies succeed.

My family and I created Twigz Prezels two years ago as we wanted a snack that was baked, not fried, and packed with flavour. We knew our pretzels were too good to keep within the family, so we decided to start a business and share them with others. With the help of the local program, our pretzels were sold in more than locations across Alberta within a year and a half of launching!

The Local Program has played a key role in helping our business grow. The support, communications, and willingness to work with our brand to help us learn and expand has been remarkable.

My love for freshly roasted specialty coffee began many years on vacation to my sister's roastery in California. We brought home beans to serve to our friends and we kept hearing, “this is the best coffee I have ever had,” and we began to dream. What started as a dream, part-time side gig has now become a full-time roasting job for me.

Our hand-crafted, small-batch approach is what makes our relationship with our coffee unique. Our purpose is to create belonging within the community - through coffee. Why coffee? A really good cup of coffee is often shared and it brings people together.

The Local Program has played a key role in our growth. The support we have received from the local development manager, to the store owners/managers has helped us bring awareness to our brand. The willingness to work with us has been remarkable. Our freshly roasted 100% Arabica specialty coffee is now available all across Manitoba!
