- mild Italian sausage, casings removed
- onion, chopped
- red bell peppers, stemmed and seeded, and chopped
- 11/2 cups
- Compliments Frozen Peas and Carrots

- Compliments Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- 1/4 cup
- Compliments Pesto Sauce
In a 5 to 6-quart pan, combine broth and macaroni over high heat.
Bring to a boil,then reduce heat, cover, and simmer until pasta is tender to bite, about 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a 12-inch nonstick frying pan, combine sausages, onion, and red pepper over medium high heat. Stir often, breaking up sausage into small pieces,until well browned, 10-12 minutes.
Add peas and carrots and cook until vegetablesare tender, about 5 minutes.
When macaroni is done, carefully transfer browned sausages and vegetables to broth along with pasta. Add parmesan and pesto; stir until cheese is melted.
Ladle into bowls and serve.
