Ingredients
- 1 sheet
- pre-rolled butter puff pastry, thawed according to package directions, kept cold
- half a 454 g pkg
- 3 tbsp
- finely crumbled blue cheese
- 45 mL
- 3
- slices prosciutto, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp
- finely chopped walnuts
- 30mL
- 1 tbsp
- apricot jam, warmed
- 15 mL
Method
- Step 1
- On lightly floured surface, un-roll puff pastry sheet. Sprinkle blue cheese, prosciutto and walnuts on top.
- Step 2
- Tightly roll opposite edges of pastry to meet in the centre (it should look like a a "log" made up of two rolls side by side). Transfer to parchment paper-lined baking sheet and freeze 10 min. to firm up pastry.
- Step 3
- After freezing, brush top of log with apricot jam. Cut log into 16 slices. Lay slices flat on baking sheet.
- Step 4
- Bake in preheated 425°F (220°C) oven 14 min., or until golden brown. Serve warm or cooled.
